Annabelle Mullican lived in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Unfortunately, she died in a car accident over the weekend.

The accident happened on Cherokee Road, near Overbrook Road, on Saturday at around 5:27 p.m.

Before the accident, the car Annabelle was in was reportedly traveling at high speed on Old Leeds Road and then turned onto Cherokee Road.

Mountain Brook Police Chief Jaye Loggins confirmed this. When the police received the accident report, they quickly went to the scene of the accident.

They found a woman and two young girls injured in the accident. All three were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Despite efforts to save her, Annabelle’s injuries were serious and she was pronounced dead at 6:20 p.m. that same day at the Children’s of Alabama.

The driver of the car, possibly a parent or guardian, sustained some injuries to her arms and legs but was treated and discharged by the Mountain Brook Fire Department.

Another child in the vehicle, who was wearing a seat belt, also suffered some injuries and was taken to the Children’s of Alabama by the Rocky Ridge Fire Department.

Before the accident, witnesses reported seeing the car traveling at high speed on Old Leeds Road and swerving. Police tried to stop the car, but it didn’t stop and continued onto Cherokee Road. Eventually the car spun, rolled over and crashed.
