It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we report the passing of Brandon Garza, a valued member of the San Angelo community. Brandon, a promising athlete and beloved family member, tragically passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023.
Born on October 6th, 2006, Brandon was a bright light who touched countless lives in his short 16 years. A promising student and gifted athlete, Brandon Garza was about to start his junior year at San Angelo Central High School.
Brandon’s ambitious and respectful nature was evident throughout his school years, which began at Glenmore Elementary and continued at Glenn Middle School.
His athletic ability shone as a midfielder for the San Angelo Central Bobcats and Abilene’s Sendero Baseball Club.
More than just an impressive player, Brandon was also known for his benevolent spirit, which could often be seen engaging selflessly with younger children on the field and sharing his passion for the sport with them.
His sense of humor also made him a favorite of his peers, as he was always ready for a quick wit or a playful quip. Garza’s death marks the loss of a promising life and is devastating to his family and the entire San Angelo community.

A viewing of Brandon will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, where a rosary will also be recited at 6:00 p.m.
A mass in his honor will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The organization of these services is the responsibility of the Robert Massie Funeral Home.
