Jim Caviezel had a life-threatening experience while filming another film nearly twenty years ago when he was literally struck by lightning while filming The Passion of the Christ.
Jim was reportedly struck by lightning while filming a scene. Assistant director Jan Michelini was also hit by the bolt.
Both reported on their experiences in the media. Due to the lightning strike and multiple injuries sustained during the shooting, Jim even ended up in the operating room for major medical procedures twice.
Recalling the incident, Caviezel said, “About four seconds before it happened, there was silence, and then it was like someone had slapped my ears.”
